Effective workplace conversations don’t happen by chance—they require self-awareness, adaptability, and the ability to navigate differing perspectives with confidence. While conflict is a natural part of working together, it can become a catalyst for stronger relationships, better decisions, and greater innovation when approached collaboratively. In this session, participants will explore their preferred conflict styles, recognize how emotions influence communication, and develop practical strategies for adapting their approach to foster understanding, trust, and productive dialogue.
Participants will be able to:
- Recognize the role of emotions in conversations and conflict.
- Adapt their conflict approach based on the needs of the situation.
- Apply a coaching mindset to foster curiosity, understanding, and collaboration.
Participants will explore how emotions influence communication, strengthen their ability to navigate differing perspectives, and learn practical strategies for fostering understanding and trust. They will also be introduced to the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument, gaining insight into their natural approach to conflict and recognizing that no single conflict style is always the most effective. Instead, participants will learn how to adapt their approach based on the situation, the relationship, and the desired outcome.
