Complete the MSCEIT2 test and join a 2-hour virtual training session led by our very own Hayley Hesseln, PhD, CEC. She’ll walk you through the model, compare it with trait-based tools, and share ways you can apply the insights.
The MSCEIT2 (Mayer-Salovey-Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test), is an evidence-based tool that measures emotional intelligence as an ability—how people actually perform on tasks involving emotional reasoning—rather than relying on self-perceptions or traits. The MSCEIT2 answers the question: “How well do you actually use emotional information to solve problems and make decisions?”
More specifically, it tests:
- How accurately you can identify emotions in yourself and others
- How effectively you can use emotions to support thinking and reasoning
- How well you understand emotional patterns and changes
- How skillfully you can manage emotions to achieve positive outcomes
In essence, it measures how emotionally intelligent you are in action, rather than how emotionally intelligent you believe yourself to be.
What to Expect: Pre-work includes completing a MSCEIT2 test and attending a 2 hour instructor-led session via Zoom.
Time Commitment: MSCEIT2 test (45 minutes to complete) – test link will be sent to you following paid registration. 2 hour group online training and report debrief session.
